Yuletide blend is back for the third festive season!
Once again, we bring you an extremely limited edition espresso blend combining two delightful coffees to give an extra festive flair to your flat whites. In a similar vein to previous years’ blend, we have combined lots from Guatemala and Ethiopia in equal proportion. A’xola Women’s Coop’s classic washed lot from Huehuetenango, Guatemala brings the lovely creamy almondy base and the natural lot from Bette Buna’s farm in Taferi Kela, Ethiopia adds a vibrant fruity note and lifts up the cup.
Expect a sticky sweet, fruity and highly drinkable espresso. Dare we say, we’re getting Christmas pud vibes? We hope you love it as much as we do!

More Bette Buna and this lot:
Bette Buna is an impact driven coffee company, established by Hester and her husband Dawit Syoum after Dawit’s grandparents asked them to take over their family coffee farm and nurture the local community in Taferi Kela village.
The name literally translates to “Home of Coffee” and their work includes acting as an exporter as well as operating two farms & processing sites, and perhaps most importantly being a pillar in their communities. Using quality coffee as a tool for inclusive local development.
This lot comes from cherry harvested by the community of growers around Taferi Kela village. It was processed by Bette Buna using their signature “Kickstart” natural method developped by their processing team as a way to concentrate the sugars and change their structures before the normal natural processing begins. After taking the cherries to the wet mill, the team gave them a “kick” by putting them in an anaerobic environment for a short amount of time before continuing processing. Not long enough for official fermentation to begin, but long enough that the structure of the sugar within the cherries changed. This produces lots with more sweetness and body on top of the standard Sidamo natural profile. And we think the result is delicious!
