Monthly Open Cupping

Think wine tasting, but swap the booze for caffeine.
Every first Sunday of the month, at 11am sharp(ish) come join us as we slurp loudly through a selection of coffees from our offer list and more. We talk about origins, coffee varietals, processing methods, seasonality and harvest schedule, kittens, and anything that we, and you, feel like.

No need to book just show up, everyone and anyone welcome. No prior coffee knowledge required just come taste some delicious coffees in a friendly relaxed environment.

Home Brewing Workshop

During this workshop you will learn about the basic brewing principles such as grind size, brewing ratios and extraction time; and find out how they impact the flavour in your cup. We will take you through equipment, importance of water quality and fresh grinding. We'll demonstrate and give you tips on how to use different brewing methods such as aeropress, V60, Clever Dripper and even the good old cafetiere. You'll also have the chance to try some of these for yourself and at the end we'll send you home with a bag of freshly roasted coffee of your choice!

2-2.5h class, 1 - 4 attendees per session

Sensory Coffee Workshop

This interactive workshop is focused on understanding the journey of coffee from seed to cup and it's impact on flavour and our perception of it. We'll introduce coffee growing regions, varieties and processing methods. Together we'll break down the coffee flavour wheel and experience basic tastes and various different aromas often present in coffee, and learn how they work together to create flavour. Finally we'll bring it all together through 'cupping' of a range of coffees from various origins and processing methods.

Home Barista Workshop

During this class you will learn about espresso extraction principles, perfect your milk steaming technique and practice latte art. You will get a chance to play with professional equipment and learn techniques that can be used in your home set up. And you'll also have a chance to take home a bag of freshly roasted coffee to practice your skills with!
